CONFIRMATION MINISTRY
To lead and guide teens to grow in lifelong faith in Jesus.
Confirmation is a an opportunity for teens to affirm their baptism and make their faith their own.
At Confirmation, teens publicly declare their faith in Jesus. It is not the end of the journey. It’s the beginning.
About Confirmation At Hawley Lutheran Church
Each week, 7th - 10th graders gather in large and small groups, led by Small Group Leaders who are committed to walking with them during these important years. In Confirmation, teens dig into God’s Word, learn the bible, explore their faith, while also participating in service opportunities, community building nights and hearing from special guest speakers. Friends are always welcome.

As teens move into high school, confirmation shifts focus to what it means to have a living, active faith. During these years, teens explore the basics of our faith and the Gospel, equipping them to live an active, authentic life of following Jesus. Topics include: challenging things in the bible and the intersection of faith and life. Teens are challenged to make faith their own as they prepare for their Affirmation of Baptism and move into senior high ministry.
9th/10th Grade Confirmation is focused on the following:
Connecting head knowledge with heart change
Increased emphasis on lifelong discipleship
Taking the baton of faith, through service and mission
“Life transformation for the glory of God.”

Confirmation service happens in fall of Jr. year, on the last Sunday of October.
