What to Expect Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve Service Details

Our 3:00 p.m. Christmas Eve service includes a Children’s Message, beloved Christmas scriptures, favorite carols and candlelight as we sing Silent Night. You can expect this service to last about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Our 5:00 p.m. Christmas Eve service will be similar to the earlier service and we will celebrate communion. If you plan to attend the 5:00 p.m. service, you can expect the service to last about an hour and twenty minutes.

Arrival and Parking

Our main parking lot is located to the east of the building. There is on-street parking to the north, south and west. Due to our construction project, our building is currently only accessible at our east and west entrances. If you need drop off young children or a family member or friend with mobility limitations, feel free to drive up to the east doors, where one of our door holders will meet and assist you. When you enter the church, our ushers will greet you, assist you in finding seating and can answer any questions you have!

What About Kids?

At Hawley Lutheran Church, kids are welcome and encouraged to participate in the entire service. If you have a young child, please feel free to come and go as needed during the service. Be assured: at Hawley Lutheran, we love the sounds of kids! Relax and let them be little! Both Christmas Eve services will include a Children’s Message. An adult or older sibling is welcome to accompany children to the front for this time.

You may wonder what to wear when you worship with us. At Hawley Lutheran the answer is whatever is comfortable! Pastor Andrea will be in a traditional robes and stoles, but we invite all people to come as you are!
