I grew up on a dairy farm near Bagley, MN, and went on to study at Bemidji State University and the University of Minnesota Morris, earning a degree in Social Studies Education. I spent 20 years teaching (16 of them in Hawley) and coaching Speech and Debate while being actively involved in a variety of ministries.
As the Director of Connections Ministry, my purpose at Hawley Lutheran Church is to help people find their place in the life of the church, build meaningful relationships, grow in faith, and discover the ways God can use their gifts to serve others. I believe the church is at its best when people know they belong—not just because they attend, but because they are valued and invited to use their gifts.
My husband, Christopher, and four children (Billy & his wife Lauryn, Dani, Adeline, Cora) make our home in Hawley. We love being part of the local community. I love people, good conversations, studying the Bible, prayer, music, history and food.
